Wisconsin Milk Marketing Board Launches New Ad Campaign Promoting Wisconsin Cheese

12/2/2014
Madison, Wis. – The Wisconsin Milk Marketing Board (WMMB), whose mission is to increase the sale and consumption of Wisconsin milk and dairy products, recently unveiled a new print advertising campaign for Wisconsin Cheese, called "Making Food Fabulous."

While Wisconsin outpaces the rest of the country in cheese production, which is a testament to its strong dairy economy, the state's pride also lies in producing some of the highest quality cheese in the world. One of WMMB's many goals is to continually emphasize the quality and craftsmanship of Wisconsin Cheese, and this new campaign furthers that goal by showcasing the many award-winning varieties created in Wisconsin.

Launched in mid-October, the campaign features everyday food items that have been given a culinary makeover with the addition of delicious Wisconsin Cheese – catapulting them from good to gourmet. Beautiful photography with contemporary food styling shows Wisconsin's artisanal cheese as the hero it is. Accompanied by whimsical typography, the ads are playful reminders that Wisconsin Cheese makes good food great. One ad says, "Give salads their 15 minutes of fame," while another reads, "Show broccoli how to live a little."

The print ads will be featured in popular lifestyle and epicurean publications such as Food Network Magazine, Real Simple, Bon Appétit, Midwest Living and Cooking Light.

"This campaign continues our tradition of showcasing the variety and craftsmanship of Wisconsin Cheese," said Dave Bavlnka, vice president of advertising at Wisconsin Milk Marketing Board. "I think this campaign continues to show what makes Wisconsin Cheese so unique."
