Mill Creek Cheese is the oldest operating cheese plant in Iowa County, Wisconsin. Family-owned and in operation since 1891, Mill Creek Cheese has been run by the Pitmans since 1984. However, that does not mean things have always stayed the same; with 38 years of experience making a wide variety of award-winning cheeses, John (Randy) Pitman completed his class at the University of Wisconsin, earning him the title of Master Cheesemaker in 2010. He currently holds two Masters, one in muenster and the other in quesadilla, and plans to continue his education for two more Masters next year.
