Alcam Traditions -- In 1946, Alcam Creamery was brought to life by Cameron Peckham in the beautiful hills of Southwestern Wisconsin, known to early settlers as the Ocooch Mountains. Today, Alcam continues to make butter in the family tradition. In the early days cream was procured within a 50 mile radius of the plant from small cheese plants and delivered in cans to the butter plant. Now we procure cream from sources throughout the nation but continue to purchase from small producers.
