Look for the Proudly Wisconsin Badge when shopping for cheese. Any brand of Wisconsin Gouda or Parmesan can be used in this recipe.

Instructions

  1. Heat oven to 350°F.
  2. Slice rolls in half horizontally; remove tops. Place roll bottoms into a 13 x 9-inch baking pan. Spread apricot preserves on bottoms. Layer each with one folded ham slice and gouda. Replace roll tops.
  3. Melt butter in a microwave-safe bowl; stir in the minced onion, Dijon mustard, salt and pepper. Brush mixture over roll tops. Sprinkle with parmesan and red pepper flakes if desired.
  4. Bake for 18-20 minutes or until the cheeses are melted.

Recipe Tip

Make-ahead tip: The sliders could be prepared a day ahead. Replace roll tops; cover and refrigerate overnight. Remove from refrigerator 40 minutes before baking. Follow recipe as directed, starting with melting butter.
