Balsamic Bread Cheese Kabobs

Entertain guests with this yummy, grilled twist on a Caprese Salad. Buttery and mild juustoleipa cheese holds its shape when warmed.

Look for the Proudly Wisconsin Badge when shopping for cheese. Any brand of Wisconsin Bread Cheese (Juustoleipa) can be used in this recipe.

Instructions

  1. Bring balsamic vinegar to a boil in a small saucepan over medium-high heat. Reduce heat to medium-low. Simmer, uncovered, for 4-5 minutes or until glaze consistency, stirring occasionally.
  2. Grease grill grate. Heat grill to medium.
  3. Thread the bread, tomatoes and juustoleipa alternately on skewers.
  4. Grill kabobs, covered, over medium heat for 3-4 minutes or until cheese is warmed through, turning once. 
  5. Drizzle with balsamic reduction. Garnish with basil. Serve immediately.

Recipe Tip

Store-bought balsamic glaze could be substituted for the balsamic reduction in this recipe.
