Balsamic Bread Cheese Kabobs

Entertain guests with this yummy, grilled twist on a Caprese Salad. Buttery and mild juustoleipa cheese holds its shape when warmed.

Look for the Proudly Wisconsin Badge when shopping for cheese. Any brand of Wisconsin Bread Cheese (Juustoleipa) can be used in this recipe.


  1. Soak wooden skewers in water for at least 30 minutes. 
  2. Meanwhile, bring balsamic vinegar to boil in small saucepan over medium heat. Reduce the heat; simmer, uncovered, until thickened and glaze consistency, about 4-5 minutes. Set aside.
  3. Grease grill grate. Heat grill to medium heat.
  4. Thread the bread, tomatoes, and juustoleipa alternately onto skewers, beginning and ending with bread.
  5. Grill kabobs, covered, for 3-4 minutes or until cheese is warmed through, turning once. 
  6. Drizzle with reserved balsamic reduction. Garnish with basil. Serve immediately.

Recipe Tip

  • Store-bought balsamic glaze could be substituted for the balsamic reduction in this recipe.
